Help Us Prepare for the June and July Editions of the Slovenian American Times

As we begin planning the next three editions of the Slovenian American Times (SAT), we warmly invite our readers and the broader Slovenian community—from Greater Cleveland and beyond—to share your ideas, stories, and contributions.

Upcoming Themes

• June – Proud to Be Slovenian by May 12
• July – America, My Home Sweet Home by June 12
• August – Labor Day/End of Summer Plans by July 12

Each of these themes offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our heritage, experiences, and community spirit. We encourage you to tell us what you would like to see or maybe contribute your own personal stories, reflections, traditions, photos, or creative pieces that align with these topics.

Special Focus: July Edition – Celebrating America
Help Us Remember our Veterans

For our July edition, we are preparing a heartfelt tribute to the United States as it approaches the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. While recognizing that today’s world has complex issues, our goal is to focus on unity, gratitude, and pride in calling the United States of America our home.

As part of this edition, we will honor Slovenian Americans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

If you or a loved one—past or present—has served in any branch of the U.S. military, we would be honored to include them. Please share:

To respect privacy, we kindly ask that you obtain permission from the individual or their family before submitting this information. Due to limited resources, we will rely on the accuracy of all submissions.

Additional Contributions Welcome

We also welcome stories highlighting Slovenian Americans who have made meaningful contributions to life in the United States—whether through community leadership, cultural preservation, professional achievements, or other impactful roles.  Please consider submission of articles featuring these folks as well.

With your help, the July edition will be something all Americans—and especially Slovenian Americans—can take pride in.
