We’re casting a wide net for Americans in Slovenia or Slovenes in the United States who might be willing to help us celebrate America’s 250th birthday!
Our “250Voices” social media video series highlights the personal stories that make up the friendship between our great countries. Send us a brief video per the instructions below and we’d be glad to include you!
Instructions
Record a fun 20-30 second video suitable for social media between now and July 4, 2026:
- Film vertically only
- Have good lighting & steady frame
- Speak clearly and limit background noise
- Bonus points for standing in a cool location!
- Say your name & location
- Share some nice words about Slovenia, the United States, our partnership, or the big 250
How to submit:
- If the file size allows, email your video directly to LjubljanaPress@state.gov.
- Send via Instagram message @USEmbassySLO.
- Upload the video to the sharing service of your choice and email us the link
- If needed, email us and we can send you a DropBox link to use.
Remember:
- If saving on a desktop, save as .MP4 or .MOV
- Send us any relevant social media handles you would want to include (optional).
- See example videos on our Facebook Album or the “250Voices” highlight button on our Instagram.
Included in any written communication with the video submission, please mention Cleveland/Ljubljana Sister Cities, so that the Embassy knows where the invitation to participate originated from.
