You may have read the article posted in our December edition, sharing that the SAT has come to a Crossroad. We shared that we find ourselves short-staffed, without our founder and without a number of volunteers who stepped away for personal reasons. We asked to hear from the community, young and old, that would “step-up” and help shape the future not just of the SAT but the SLO Community at large.

We thank you for the many heartwarming notes of support and encouragement we’ve received.  We also thank those who have stepped up, offering their time to help keep the SAT going.  However, if the SAT’s Mission, to provide relevant, interesting and timely information in a format that is visually appealing and well-received by our patrons, is to continue, we will need a little more help. 

We need the continued submission of interesting and relevant articles and feature stories that engage our readers.  

Please support our advertisers who contribute significantly to making the SAT possible.  If you own a business, please consider advertising here, in the SAT.  Our SLO community is known to be a fiercely loyal consumer group when they’ve been treated properly.  See how this could benefit your business.

We need the help of young, tech-savvy, folks that have modern-day insights on Social Media and Technology.  We wish to re-engage our Facebook page and update it regularly. This will help draw interest and engagement of younger generations who, before we know it, will lead this community.  

We need a few, gregarious people to be SAT Ambassadors.  These folks will engage the various Slovenian cultural organizations, helping them promote/ represent themselves with the SLO Community. 

We are seeking an Office Assistant, a compensated role, who will, on a regular basis, manage the day-to-day, clerical, office functions of the SAT.  Please see the adjacent ad. Slovenian Organizations – The SAT wants to hear from you!

 Whether your organizations is faith-based, philanthropic, social, cultural or competitive sports oriented, where there are Slovenians involved, we want to know who you are. 

Each year in the March edition, the SAT publishes a global Roster of Slovenian Organizations. Beginning this March, we will also maintain that roster on our website so If your organization has changed since last March or if you have never been listed in our roster, please email us at editor@slovenianamerican.com with your information.  Please make sure to include the name of your organization, contact information, including the name of your contact person, telephone number, email address and website, if you have one,  It couldn’t hurt to add a sentence or two telling about your mission or purpose.  

February Edition of the SAT

Those of us who remain are committed to delivering the SAT to our Slovenian Community on a consistent basis, with interesting and relevant information.
