Državnozborske volitve v Sloveniji: Svoboda za las pred SDS

After 99.85 percent of the votes counted, the State Election Commission announced that the Freedom Movement and the SDS had achieved very similar results. According to unofficial data, the former received 28.62 percent of the vote, while the latter received 27.95 percent. The following parties also entered parliament: coalition of New Slovenia, Slovenian People’s Party and Fokus, Slovenian Democratic Party, Anže Logar’s Democrats, Levica (The Left), Vesna, and Resni.ca. According to SEC data, the Freedom Movement is projected to hold 29 seats in the National Assembly, the SDS 28 seats and the coalition of New Slovenia, Slovenian People’s Party and Fokus 9 seats. The Slovenian Democratic Party and Anže Logar’s Democrats are projected to hold six seats each, while Levica + Vesna and Resni.ca each won five seats.
The president of the Freedom Movement Robert Golob thanked everyone who voted in a press statement: »We all deserve a path to the future, regardless of which party we supported. We will do everything we can to make that future better for everyone.« Janez Janša, leader of the SDS, commented after the release of the unofficial results on the problems with the website of the State Election Commission, which was »constantly crashing«, and called on the commission to fairly publish all counted votes.

Po 99,85 odstotkih preštetih glasov je Državna volilna komisija sporočila, da sta stranki Gibanje Svoboda in SDS dosegli zelo podoben rezultat. Prva je po neuradnih podatkih prejela 28,62, druga pa 27,95 odstotkov glasov. V parlament so se uvrstile še naslednje stranke: NSi + SLS + Fokus, SD, Demokrati Anžeta Logarja, Levica in Vesna ter Resni.ca. Po podatkih DVK se Gibanju Svoboda v Državnem zboru obeta 29 poslanskih sedežev, SDS naj bi jih imela 28, skupa lista NSi + SLS + Fokus pa 9. SD-ju in Demokratom Anžeta Logarja kaže na šest poslanskih stolčkov, po pet mandatov pa sta osvojili Levica + Vesna ter Resni.ca.
Predsednik Gibanja Svoboda Robert Golob se je v izjavi za javnost zahvalil vsem, ki so šli volit: »Pot v prihodnost si zaslužimo vsi, ne glede na to, katero stranko smo volili. Vse bomo naredili, da bo ta prihodnost boljša za vse.« Janez Janša, prvak SDS, je po objavi neuradnih rezultatov komentiral težave s spletno stranjo Državne volilne komisije, ki se je »stalno sesuvala«, in je komisijo pozval k pošteni objavi vseh preštetih glasov.
