Known for its expressive melodies and dazzling technical skill\, this musical tradition was carried to North America during waves of immigration in the late 19th and early 20th centuries\, where it flourished within close-knit communities. \nAt the heart of the performance is the evocative pairing of violin and cimbalom\, the shimmering hammered dulcimer that anchors many Eastern European Roma ensembles. The evening will feature romantic melodies alongside electrifying dance forms such as the csárdás and friss\, moving from soulful laments to thrilling\, high-energy finales. \nFollowing the concert\, guests can enjoy a lively reception with dancing\, traditional Hungarian food prepared by the Hungarian Scouts\, and a full bar.
