Help Us Prepare for the May, June, and July Editions of the Slovenian American Times

As we begin planning the next three editions of the Slovenian American Times (SAT), we warmly invite our readers and the broader Slovenian community—from Greater Cleveland and beyond—to share your ideas, stories, and contributions.

Upcoming Themes

May – Mothers, Spring, Gardening, Summer Plans
  Due April 10
June – Proud to Be Slovenian 
  Due May 15
July – America, My Home Sweet Home 
  Due June 12

Each of these themes offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our heritage, experiences, and community spirit. We encourage you to tell us what you would like to see or maybe contribute your own personal stories, reflections, traditions, photos, or creative pieces that align with these topics.

Special Focus: July Edition – Celebrating America

For our July edition, we are preparing a heartfelt tribute to the United States as it approaches the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. While recognizing that today’s world has complex issues, our goal is to focus on unity, gratitude, and pride in calling the United States of America our home.

As part of this edition, we will honor Slovenian Americans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

If you or a loved one—past or present—has served in any branch of the U.S. military, we would be honored to include them. Please share:

• Branch of service 
• Years of service 
• Rank held 

To respect privacy, we kindly ask that you obtain permission from the individual or their family before submitting this information. Due to limited resources, we will rely on the accuracy of all submissions.

Help us recover this piece of history! In preparation for our July edition honoring America’s 250th anniversary, we’d like your help in identifying the individuals pictured below.
