Back by popular demand: the Cleveland Slovenian Ski Club (CSSC) is excited to announce our next overnight bus trip will be on Sunday, January 17 to Monday, January 18, 2027. Skiing Sunday and Monday on Martin Luther King (MLK) Day weekend gives us the opportunity to ski two resorts in the ski village of Ellicottville, NY with the best pricing for our overnight accommodations.
Once again, we will travel by luxury motorcoach, departing from Lakeland Community College. Our group will arrive in Ellicottville Sunday morning for a full day of skiing at Holiday Valley. We will wrap up the day with a special apres-ski event in the lodge before we check in to the Wingate hotel in downtown Ellicottville. The newly remodeled Wingate is within walking distance of Ellicottville’s shopping, dining, and nightlife. Our second day of skiing will be at Holimont, a private resort which will open exclusively to Holimont members and members of the CSSC on MLK day. Both resorts have invested in superior snow grooming equipment these past years, so do not worry if the grass is green in Cleveland. As long as temperatures dip below freezing, the slopes will be ready for us!
Lift ticket, hotel and gas prices have increased; but our club can still provide an affordable ski trip. Your registration includes a Holiday Valley lift ticket, Holimont lift ticket, bus transportation, overnight hotel accommodations, and a Sunday evening apres-ski party. Pricing is based on the number of people in your hotel room, so the most affordable option is four to a room at $295 per person. Provide the following information for each person in your group in the email: (1) Name, email address, and cell phone number of all registering; (2) Skier or non-skier; (3) Age, if child, for possible lower ski rate.
Cleveland Slovenian Ski Club is over 19 years strong with a mission of friendship, fitness, and fun! CSSC has no volunteer hours, no membership fee, and no meetings. We negotiate group rates on lift tickets and lodging. We welcome families, seniors, singles, couples, and skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. We typically are blessed with musicians that join and entertain us on our bus trips and are known to share camaraderie, snacks, drinks, and many laughs.
Autumn is in full swing, which means ski season is just around the corner. Don’t wait to register; we anticipate another sold out bus trip! Final room list and payments are due by December 16, 2026. We are looking forward to another Sloven-ski trip with you!
